Procrastination

So this is the reason why I've not been blogging so much. Or at all. These are the new residents set up outside the kitchen window, and instead of packing and sorting out the mess that is now the house and garden, I've decided to draw. And make a fence around the bees. And go away for the weekend. And go on a five hour hike. And make a bench. In fact, anything at all rather than face the awful job of packing up a house for the 14th time in 11 years.

  1. Oh I feel for you. I used to move around so much, and it is so stressful and such incredibly hard work packing up a house. I hope this is as easy on you as it can be. Take care of yourself!

  3. Great art. Procrastination -- I can understand- it's the human way of ignoring and handling things that distress us. I hope that the move in the end will be worth all the work- that you are going somewhere better, more exciting, more adventurous- if not, one can dream.

  4. Maybe it's not so much procrastination as doing something that's more fun and a higher priority to you at that moment. Your drawings are great! Not to worry - you'll be packed one way or another by moving day! nancy

  7. Wonderful sketches! I moved 1700 miles a year and a half ago and found the easiest way for me to pack was to give most of it away!! :D And actually, it felt pretty good to be rid of so much stuff! Of course, I know that isn't practical for everyone!

  8. So, you have some gypsy blood in ya. Don't envy the packing. Have done my share of that. I'd procrastinate too. X.

  9. Thanks guys. Not sure if I should be enjoying this procrastination so much! Think I should be getting rid of all sorts of stuff, and you would think I would just have one suitcase but somehow I'm a degenerate hoarder and collector of useless **** which might come in use some day....

  11. Fourteenth time in eleven years is more than I have done. I can't blame you one bit for procrastinating. Great sketches.
