oh Fiddlesticks
This is the first time I've ever tried to draw someone playing the fiddle. Guitar I can do, as the musician usually stays relatively still bar the fingers, but fiddle players are a different matter, especially when they start swaying and bobbing up and down to the music. I'm glad this one was silhouetted, made my job slightly easier....

Great drawing ! The silhouette was an excellent idea as you don't have to worry about detail. But you have captured the body and movement - and the fiddle
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to stay still when listening to a good fiddler! You did an awesome job. I like the silhouette, it adds mystic.
ReplyDeleteLovely prints below and very nice sketches! Good luck with the beekeeping. We have had 7 swarms collected over the years. I was lucky (although the hairs on the back of my neck and spine tingled) to have seen a swarm searching for a new home. Becky, the woman who comes to collect them has never seen a swarm. They are very interesting creatures1
ReplyDeleteContinued success with your artwork!
This is wonderful. I love the composition and can hear the music.
ReplyDeleteGreat job, and I bet the music was wonderful, too! nancy
ReplyDeleteNicely captured! And I know how tricky musical instruments are...
ReplyDeleteNice sketch! Love the drama that is percieved thru the silhouette.
ReplyDeleteThat's a very strong and suggestive sketch, nicely done!
