Hope Springs

Found some branches not totally covered in ice and frost and snow. Poor buds, hope they make it through to spring. At least this a sign though that not is all lost and something resembling spring is awaiting its opportunity...

  1. When I lived in western NY - snow country - these small signs would get me through the long, cold, gray winters. If it wasn't for having to walk the dogs every day, I would have missed so many subtle signs of life that I was able to log in my journal and in the end, chased the winter blues away.

  2. I love the delicate touch of your pen on paper. The black line on white paper displays some of the stark beauty of winter I wonder what would happen if there were a splash of red in that round bud on the left!

  3. Commenting after Dan is always so hard! He says everything so perfectly. He makes the same points that I want to make, but he says it like a poet! LOL. Anyway, this is wonderful! I love the simplicity. And it looks like my tulip tree out front. I'm wondering if it will bloom this year too!
