Feeling woolly headed

Designed a picture of a ram for one of our local community projects. Its going on a jute bag (if all agree!) to promote the launch of a new website for the area. From the earliest times the Lammermuirs have had sheep inhabiting the moors, hence the name - lammer is an old word for lamb - and to this day they still provide a basic income for the local farmers.

Apparently they are very intelligent. I had a friend who trained a lamb, and it used to follow him around, do tricks, and follow him everywhere - even as far as walking through the town behind him to go to the vets....

  2. Moore is another name in my family tree with Scottish history. After reading your post today I looked up the origin of the surname Moore and sure enough it derived from the landscape. I like that you shared about the word Lammer. X.

  7. Thanks guys! I'll let you know if you can buy one or not once they are printed - not sure how many are getting done, and I guess the locals will get first choice!

  11. Very eyecatching. It's true they are way more intelligent than people think. I hand reared one when IU lived with my parents and it became very well trained - at least, most of the time!- it also tried to follow me to work...
