Decided to give inks another go, and tried to capture the weird orange night time light you get from street lights. It was some sketches I did on some recent travels and I got the sketchbook out to try and ignore (and capture) some of the more shady characters hanging around.
Wow - nice drawings. I love your use of inks, really done well. Love your blog.
ReplyDeleteGreat perspective. Your work is wonderful.

These are really wonderful. Hope the "scareys" went away! nancy
ReplyDeleteI am sorry that they scared you in any way, but it sure isn't bad if you could produce something so beautiful right? :)
ReplyDeleteThe colors are awesome!
These are nice drawings! What a great way to distract yourself from the fear you felt.
ReplyDeleteGreat art therapy! You captured the night scene very well.
ReplyDeleteCheers guys, trick is not to make any eye contact!!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful drawings. You did a great job in spite of feeling so anxious. Why is it we are more afraid at night of the same spot we don't mind during the day?
ReplyDeleteGreat capture of that "orangy" light. Love your penwork.
ReplyDeleteGlad you found something to relieve you of your fear, just make sure you're not staring at any unshady character and make him mad... also, it is possible to lose yourself in your surroundings while drawing and further make yourself vulnerable to shifty characters. Ok, Mom hat off, Artist hat on: Love the night glow! You capture your figures very well - I feel like I'm there!
